17 year old Aiden Durnford was considered the best Pee Wee aged goalie in the province 5 years ago….and yet he wasn’t able to make a Major Midget team as a 15 year old. There were several reasons for him not making the team but he was determined to get back to the top of his game and was All Star goaltender in the Nova Scotia Minor Midget League last season. This season he has earned a spot as a 17 year old with the South Shore Mustangs and despite his size is proving he is back at the top of his game and hoping to play in Maritime Junior Hockey League next season. John Moore caught up with Durnford, his coach Brogan Bailey and goaltending coach Todd Bengert.
