October 3, 2017 By Sports and Moore
Coyotes 2017 1st round draft pick Pierre-Olivier Joseph will wear the “C” for the Charlottetown Islanders this season in the QMJHL. The 18 year old defenceman is back on the Island after a busy summer including his first pro camp and rookie tournament. Joseph is expected to log alot of ice for the Islanders this season and Head Coach and GM Jim Hulton is excited to have the affable Chambly Quebec native. He was taken 23rd overall in the 2017 Draft in Chicago and is the highest NHL pick in Islanders history. He was a 5th round pick in the 2015 QMJHL draft.
