G Blackmore scores his first QMJHL goal this past week with the Moncton Wildcats in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The Pictou County Weeks captain was signed by the Wildcats and has played in a handful of games in the 2nd half. Moncton coach Darren Rumble absolutely “loves” the undersized forward who is leading the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League in scoring. Watch #12 Blackmore score against the Charlottetown Islanders and was named the 2nd Star. The Millbrook native will continue with Pictou County for the rest of the season and can only be called up for 10 games before having to be signed to a players card. Rumble says his future is bright and he uncovered Blackmore while watching another Wildcats prospect Alec MacDonald who also plays for Weeks midgets. Blackmore has 1G 4A in 4 games with Wildcats.
