Pittsburgh Penguins Development Coach Mark Recchi is keeping close tabs on one of the team’s top prospects, Daniel Sprong of the Charlottetown Islanders in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
The 22 year NHL veteran visited Halifax Saturday and watched Sprong score twice in a 5-2 win over the Halifax Mooseheads. Recchi is expecting big things from Sprong in the future and spoke to John Moore during 2nd intermission. Watch as there is isolation footage of Sprong during the game, including both goals.
