Nick Welsh will be a rookie defenceman with the St Marys Huskies in the 2018/19 AUS season. The 21 year old Halifax native is coming off an impressive Buffalo Sabres rookie camp where he scored two goals in the final tournament game in a win over Pittsburgh. The Moncton Wildcats alum spent 4 years in the QMJHL with Shawinigan before wrapping up his career with 68 points in 66 games with the Wildcats. John Moore caught up with Welsh just after his first skate with the Huskies since returning from Buffalo.
